Day 37 - Wednesday, 17th August 2011
After a very light wind night of about 4-6 knots of wind, it started to pick up this morning for the last full days sail. We (BWR and I) have been making great progress north towards the finish, as we need to as there is head winds forecast and we have certainly had enough of those. So with any luck I should be in before lunch tomorrow. I’m getting excited, you bet I am, I can’t wait to see all my wife, team, family and friends, it should be great fun. So all I have to do is hang in there and keep the boat moving and I will get there eventually. I will be docking at the Mooloolaba Marina on the Commodore’s Pontoon outside The Yacht Club building. Some more of my great sponsors are Multihull Solutions at the Marina at Mooloolaba, and one of my major sponsors is APC Logistics which is one of Australia’s largest International Freight Forwarders and Custom Brokers for both Air and Sea Freight. I also have International Paint, FGI, and Coursemaster Autopilots. We are going to make a documentary on the trip with Muk Entertainment , so that should be a lot of fun to do. Any way thanks to everyone that has helped out in some way and for all the support out there, it has been one hell of a challenge and great fun at times and very hard as well. I will update you all on the finish as soon as I can after the party!!!
